I'm going back to the start

Updated: Jan 20

Why am I met with overwhelm when someone mentions my elevator pitch? I feel unsettled at the thought of it, but i've realised I went full steam ahead and bypassed my own brand guidelines and mission statement. I have a logo and adored colours, but that's it. It wouldn't even cross my mind to act like this with a client, so why am I glossing over my own brand?!

So i'm going back to the beginning, i'm working on my core values, my aim and my mission and hopefully that will reset this feeling and I can go into 2026 with the clarity I need.

I've started with a list of key words and that's my inspiration.

In my work, I am:

Authentic

Truthful

Helpful

Empowering

Charitable

Understanding

Empathetic

Neurodiverse

Guiding

Nurturing

Friendly

Kind

Determined

Hardworking

Understanding

Artistic

Skilled

Experienced

Knowledgable

Excelling

Supportive

Encouraging

Genuine

Perhaps i'll turn this exercise into a free download to help others. I have two incredible friends and when we meet for dinner we do a roundup of recent achievements and intentionally plan what we are aiming towards. It comes from years of 'going with the flow' and going along with things (a learned people pleaser role perhaps), but now everything feels more intentional; this is my ship, where am I steering it?

I'll keep you updated and hope to announce a free download section soon..!
